Referrals for enrollment into the FALC may come from a principal, counselor, the student, or his/her parent or guardian. Referrals should be directed to the FALC Director who will evaluate the student for admission. It is recommended that the student has completed the ninth grade.
All students are academically assessed to determine their needs. After completion of the assessment a Continual Learning Plan will be developed and implemented.
Faribault School District #656 is an open enrollment school district. Students who wish to attend classes at the FALC must follow the same admission procedure as local residents.
Mental health is important. Everyone needs to make sure we take care of ourselves physically and mentally. Mental health is sometimes hard to take care of as we are not always able to see what is going on. Below are some resources to help address the mental side of our health.

A student enrolled full-time in the FALC can earn six to eight credits per year. Full time students attend classes Monday through Friday between 8:30am and 2:30pm.
Students earn credit by attending enough hours and passing the required work for each class. The minimum required hours of seat time is 35 hours. Students must be present the minimum number of hours or credit may not be granted.
